Is there a Diversity Officer billet at your command? What effect have diversity goals had on groupthink in your unit, ship, squadron?
Are you subject to a commissar type of indoctrination on the matter of group rights as applied to ethnic minorities, women, homos, etc? Is there a perceived promotion quota for members of these groups?
Do your annual evaluations have a check off or write up on your support for Chairman Obama's goals for His people?
I ask these questions because when the SHTF, I wonder if our Armed Forces will become tools of oppression or freedom.
Given events of the modern era, particularly of the last year-or-so, "flag-grade" officers will definitely tend towards the former.
Lower ranks, hopefullly more towards the latter.
Not yet
100% of the time this position was held by an African American, often a black woman.
A bit bitter on this one I missed an advancement, due to a discrimination charge. Did you know if you are a white, nongay, Christian male you can not be discriminated against, non can you file a complaint if you are.
Some of us served when part of our education about the horrors of our Communist opponents of the Soviet Union, was that they had such political officers.
Today we have them.
For those of us who remember fragging . . . Right Gunny?
The people should be reminded through their schools, churches and via government proclamations of the importance of their God given rights and freedoms.
Magna Charta was read to the people of England by law twice a year, so that the people would not forget their rights and not become gradually prepared for arbitrary government.
Recall recent responses from rat Congressmen when confronted with the Constitutionality of Obamacare.
The American people have been kept ignorant of their heritage. It appears our military are no different, and are actually indoctrinated toward notions anathema to our founding.

Every unit in the army is required to have an “Equal Opportunity” NCO. We are required to attend EO training on a yearly basis. It usually consists of examples of stereotypes and talking about how “diversity is awesome.” We also have to fill out an “anonymous” questionnaire asking if we’ve ever been subjected to discrimination. I always answer “yes” because there is no observance month for my race.
I admit you sent me to the online dictionary. I had never heard of zampolit.

So it is safe to assume you do not receive ongoing or annual education as to the fundamentals of our republic and why you risk your neck to defend it?
I also always wear a t-shirt sold by Phillip K Zimmerman for my official photos.
Back in the day, it was a federal felony to wear that shirt where foreign nationals could see it. ITAR Section 120.17(IV) and 121.1(XIII) 22 U.S.C. 2778 and 2279.
I'm not a polite person that goes along to get along. ;)

There have been EO Officers and NCO’s in all branches, even back in the 1980’s at the start of my career, all the way through to now.
EO’s in the Army were always female, most often black, ALL with a chip on their shoulders.
In my very last unit, the Brigade Commander had a big issue; our unit had barracks whores (the Marines would refer to them as “mattress covers”), and the randier guys would take advantage of their unique services. As a result, the girls got lighter duty and faster promotions.
The O-6 (a religious man with daughters, whom I respected) demanded it stop. He appointed a new EO: a female Hawaiian butterbar with an axe to grind. It backfired on the colonel; she started witch-hunts against the guys instead of identifying the bimbos and their actions. Treat the symptoms, not the sickness.
Now that I'm a civilian again, I can think things that weren't allowed.
Failure of the system will bring severe reprisals. 'nough said.

Of course we DON’T. But I carry a copy of the US Constitution everyday at work. And I’m not afraid to whip it out anytime someone feels the need to express what we should and shouldn’t do. Some of the discussions get rather heated.
This whole diversity cr@p is designed to tear our republic apart. The Left have successfully implemented what our Framers feared; a continent full of competing factions always at each other’s throats.
How many of y’all remember Race Relations Officers back in the 70’s. What a farce!
Cheers...Chris
No, but there is EO as an extra duty down to the Company level. Usually they find either the most PC or most un-PC person around for the job, there's typically no inbetween.
What effect have diversity goals had on groupthink in your unit, ship, squadron?
I'd have to know that such goals were in place, if any, in order to answer that question.
Are you subject to a commissar type of indoctrination on the matter of group rights as applied to ethnic minorities, women, homos, etc?
Yes, though "indoctrination" is a strong word since it certainly doesn't change anyone's minds on the topic.
Is there a perceived promotion quota for members of these groups?
Nothing that would ever be publicized, of course, but there definitely is a series of "good ol' boy networks" for some of those particular minority groups. I was hearing stories of the "Lesbian Mafia" in the upper echelons of the Army back when I was a cadet. I'm sure there's a similar thing for homosexual men, too. Black women are very protected.
Do your annual evaluations have a check off or write up on your support for Chairman Obama's goals for His people?
No, and, honestly, that's a pretty ridiculous question.
Follow on question: Did you receive at bootcamp or Officer training any education as to the foundations of our republic and why our country is worth defending?
No. Basic trainees are supposed to be high school graduates, officers are college graduates. Such education should (theoretically) already have happened.
