It drew one distinction that I think is quite important. Pedophilia, in its true meaning, does not refer to the act of child molestation but rather to a consistent attitude or orientation towards sexual attraction to pre-pubescent children. We don’t generally get to choose our phobias, and we don’t generally get to make concious choices about our philias either.
What we do get to do is decide whether to act on our philias. And a pedophile (in the sense of someone who has the inclination or orientation) who makes the conscious choice not to act on his very strong inclinations is in some sense admirable. Though I wouldn’t recommend him as a baby-sitter.
It is possible both phobias and philias can be overcome with therapy, but in general the notion that “therapy” can cure anything is vastly overblown.
Pedophilia is also very different from similar sexual attraction to young post-pubescent people. We make a common mistake in this country of mixing up the legal notion of age of consent with pedophilia. Pubescence is a scientific fact, age of consent is a legal construct. The two have little to do with each other.
Now don’t get me wrong. I’m fully in favor of stiff penalties for sex with underage children, but some weirdo pursuing a 14 year old girl is not a pedophile. A sicko who should have his head kicked in, but not a pedophile.
There are also almost certainly people who are not pedophiles in the sense of exclusive attraction to children who are perfectly willing to do a child for kicks when convenient. If anything, such a person is even more evil than the pedophile who fails to control his urges.

Many deal with criminal and destructive temptations. It is part of the human condition and those who act on their temptations end up ruined either as a natural consequences (self loathing, poverty, victims, addiction and disease) or legal consequence. When a man acts on the call of temptation just once, the next time it is harder to resist.
Your notion that fourteen year old girls are not children sexually, is wrong. Sexual activity is both a mental and physical caculation. A man or woman sexually pursuing teens who are not mentally mature enough to caculate the manuplation and results of entering into a sexual relationship with an adult, are sexually pursing children. Children are, by nature and by condition of dependence, unequal players in relations with adults. Adults have too much power over children to be permitted to pursue them for sexual favors/payments.
I don’t even think adults should be permitted to approach minors verbally or in arts in a adult sexual advocacy way. That permission we permitted homosex activists leads to perverts crossing the line. We are seeing perverts sexually interacting with children in the public schools more now than ever.
Children should be permitted to develop sexually without adult interference beyond warnings of consequences (disease, abuse, pregnancy, etc.) which they don’t know for lack of experience. Physically, a child may be ready for sex, but not mentally because they are not mature adults. Therefore, the sexual relationship between a fourteen year old and adult can not be “consentual.” But all this is the thinking and operation of a Western civilization.
What is going to happen is that global liberal elitists are going to move on to opppress resistence towads any and all sexual behaviors. Raping your kid will be one in a long string of offences they will perform whether you like it or not. Perverts don’t care what you think about it. They will assert their right to enter your house and do it right on your property (see homos forcing normal people to host their sexual activity on their property.) Adultery - family wrecking - was once taboo and illegal.
They want the freedom to do whatever they want to do sexually to anyone, at their whim. They are going to have to be killed because a defeated Western society won’t stop them. But given what they are doing now by grooming kids for sex, of even a depraved and highly diseased nature, with adults in public schools and without parental objection, I do not think people will stop them when they “progress” to raping other people’s pets, children, husbands and wives in the name of sex desires and rights.
In US prisons Americans accept men raping men and many even cheer it on. In muslim societies, men are permitted to rape children and women. If they object, the victims are punished. They marry children. They have multiple wives. It will be justified here as rights within multiculturalism. Homo pervert “sex experts” are keen about justifying everything on what was considered normal in ancient Roman and Greek societies before the evil Christians came along and ruined all the fun.
Sexual perversion is empowered by little openings that turn into flood gates. Forcing homosexuality on the society opened the floodgates.
