Only one point separates Obama and Romney in the swing states.
The states collectively hold 146 Electoral College votes and include Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
Another part of the incumbent being only 1 point ahead is that any bad news on the economy, etc., is going to work against the incumbent numbers - if the press were pounding relentlessly about the cost of gasoline and food the way they would be in the event of a Republican incumbent, this race wouldn’t even be close.
the polls are reflecting voter fraud?
Very nice....Your posted image nails it!!

I’m not sure PA is in play.
But, these are very encouraging numbers. It is reasonable to suppose the undecideds will break 2/3 for the changer. Such a split would give the advantage to Romney 51 to 49 percent in the battlegrounds.
Add to that the timing of the poll, that it is during the bounce being enjoyed by the Democrats, and maybe we’re talking a Romney advantage of 4 to 6 points (instead of only 2) in the battleground states.
"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows President Obama attracting support from 49% of voters nationwide, while Mitt Romney earns 45% of the vote.
This is the presidents biggest lead over Romney among Likely Voters since March 17. See daily tracking history. Obamas convention bounce is evident both in the head-to-head numbers with Romney and in his Job Approval ratings (see below).
Just remember: Gallup Had Carter Up 4 Points Over Ronald Reagan in September 1980...and up by 8 in October.
Forget the polls...and get out the vote!
This man shouldnt be able to make public appearances without rotten tomatoes being thrown at him and, yet, hes at 52% approve.
When you put up a Republican Candidate who does not have a core, it is not surprising that 52 percent support reelection of Obama. I blame GOPe, the Romney Fans on here and others for the possible demise of Romney.
Obviously there was something in Obama`s and Clinton`s speeches that gave the American electorate a Chrissy Matthews leg thrill. I don`t know what it was from a content standpoint, but the only theory I can come up with is voters must feel downright “fabulous” inside when they hear either of their voices.
Sadly, I think you are probably wrong. For every person who won't vote for Romney because he's not conservative enough, I believe there is probably a moron out there to counter that vote because the MSM paints this theoretical conservative candidate as an extremist and scary. So, in that regard, I think it is a wash.
Demographically, I think we have reached a tipping point.
I don’t even think a tenth of them even watched the spectacle that was the DNC. I think they get up every morning and think whatever popular culture tells them is trendy and hip to think. With the exception of the medicare crowd, they vote whoever isn’t a threat to their perceived “free” medical crap.
