I can't think of a single Republican who would cross over to vote for Obama in 2012, even if one MAY have felt "white guilt" in 2008. Ain't buying this BS. In 2000, there was a crossover Democrat who "registered Republican" and voted for Gore and then funded the Gore "recount".

Well my father is a lifelong Republican from Florida in his 90s, with his faculties in tact. He voted Obama in 08 and plans to do it again. Not a thing I can do about it.

You are correct. I did the same in the 2004 primary in my state. I didn’t realize we had open primaries. Today I am still officially a registered Dem....
