As a kid growing up in W. TN I grew up watching Lawler fight virtually every Saturday morning. What fun! A prayer for him on this day.

I grew up in a small southeren Indiana town in the 70s and 80s and use to watch those Saturday morning broadcasts of “in studio” wrestling matches from Memphis. I knew it was fake but loved it nevertheless. I will always remember his on off again freindship/hatefest with and sometimes against Billy “SuperStar” Dundee. LOL.

I too watched a lot of that wrestling.....Yamamoto was a frequent there. Oh, I lived in Walls, MS just across the TN/MS line back then.
