If anything its more effective to drag them around and have panicky people post photos of them as a means of intimidating folks. In fact they kind of remind me of the show cop cars that police departments have. Things like Corvettes and Vipers etc.
After all, a quick look at a map shows the tactical impossibility of controlling this country. They simply don’t have the personnel to control more than a couple of cities. We have a cop car roll though this little town about once a week and the only reason they do that is because we pay them to do it.

Funny how this went from a photoshop hoax to a DHS Show Vehicle.

I never said it wasn’t a photoshop or otherwise. I just said the photo looked suspicious to me and it still does.

For me the amazement is how can ordinary USA citizens ever think of going against their next door neighbors after their children play ball on the same team as a possible situation. I realize that police and sheriff and other groups stretch that societal boundary but for masses of citizens to want to act/be a part of such reactionary forces is bewildering. I know it has happened all over the world over the centuries but the matter still bugs me. And this is not to say I couldn’t/wouldn’t choose sides.

"It looks to me like an inexperienced phtoshopper ran into some pretty common problems.
Where it says POLICE/RESCUE its off center like the font had been typed then warped to fit the vehicle but didnt so they nudged it forward a bit and then cut the notch in it.
It also seems to me that there are an excessive number of names on it. Police, immigration and customs, at the left it looks like it might say investigations and National security."
That seem very specific to me. I assume the picture of the same vehicle with the same lettering and markings on the DHS own home page is photo shopped as well?

No idea. Sacramento/Tacoma? You'll have to ask a jack-booted thug that rides around in the abomination.

Considering the drug war going on at the border, especially when the Zetas and MS13 is involved, that doesn’t look armored enough.

that doesnt look armored enough. That doesn't look armored enough against a provencial boy with a trebouchet and a few carboys full of gasoline. Or punkin chunkers from upstate NY... It's a joke.
Embellished defenses, ie.. chain mail to plate to heavy articulated plate... or mont and bailey to castle to fortification.... are clues that an era is coming to an end.
Afghans with files and dud bombs are blowing up upgraded armor Humvees. It's not rocket science.

We need visibility in order to maneuver our vehicles, don’t we? A light coat of oil from a bug sprayer and a balloon full of flour will bring it to a halt. A few cans of spray paint will work even better.
Only use the bleach and ammonia bottles if there is shooting going on.

Hungarians used EMPTY pie tins in the middle of the road to scare the Soviet tank crews, and slow them down.
Armored vehicles aren't working that great in the 3rd world, circa 1850s technology, they certainly aren't going to work in the first world with folks that make that kind of stuff for a living.

We need visibility in order to maneuver our vehicles, dont we?Technically, no... I've done driving by braille before. If you don't like the way I drive, get off the sidewalk. ;)

More legit would be, what can people who believe in their Constitution do against those that don’t.
