I figure, if a white person ever did do something like this, the media would gleefully pounce on it. They must not be able to find any whites doing this kind of stuff, despite, no doubt, diligently searching.

I went to a nearly all black high school, too, and the results were stark: White went to class but blacks were expected to at least not cause trouble in the halls as they hung out. A rather expensive brand new all black high school was built in the town next door. In 1 year it was demolished. In 1 Year, the seats in the large theater were cut, windows broke out, few went to class with most hanging outside, the parking lot had cops patrolling, the cafeteria was a mess, it was simply disturbing.
So when it comes right down to it Whitey is at fault!
THEY are not. In Viet Nam I waded into a fight on a fire base that consisted of 22 blacks against two whites and a Phillipino. Once we evened out the score, only three against the rest of us, they became quite reasonable. I have no “white guilt” as I never saw a black dude before I joined the service. I’ve always known a black won’t start anything unless he has his victim outnumbered.
I have seen the same myself. I know a couple of blacks who are very successful in the corporate world. Even though they are doing very well (one is the eastern manager of IT Security for the corp.), they regard anyone who is more successful than they, and conservative, as traitors to their race. They both told me that, using those words, several years ago.
The ones you know and write about are the statistical outliers. The part thrown out when performing the statistical analysis.
I have to disagree. There are two fairly distinct black subcultures and lumping them together is crazy. There is the primarily middle-class, religious, mostly suburban black culture that is mostly law-abiding and reasonable (even if they vote 'incorrectly' for all the wrong reasons). And then there is predominantly lower-class, inner city, single parent, hip-hop culture that one hears about most often because it is so dysfunctional. One is not the 'outlier' of the other, they are distinct.
Would I say that one predominates over the other in terms of numbers? Not without some solid evidence. My (and your) gut feeling isn't worth much compared to real data. I live in a predominately black, middleclass suburb and barring a few punks, my neighbors are great people.
None of this is genetic, it's all cultural. A few dozen generations of anything other than the most extreme evolutionary pressures is enough to change something as basic as primary human behaviors and even then, I'd wager the effect would be minor.

The saddest part of it all were the black kids, my friends, who did good in school and actually tried to get an education. They were considered sellouts by their black peers and shunned. One of them was our valedictorian.
This was in the mid-90’s. I doubt much has changed.
Same experience in the 70’s. Nothing has changed but simply gotten worse.
OK, I see where you are coming from and agree on the “victim being outnumbered”.
Hip-hop is a real problem in the inner city. It is destroying lives and futures at an alarming rate.
Not sure what to do about it.
My best friend had to leave her church because she wouldn’t vote for Obama.
Two of my black friends are TEA Partiers.
A black co-worker refused to vote for Obama due to his abortion stance.
So, happily, your stats are a bit off.
