USA Today is unveiling its most extensive redesign since its launch 30 years ago, effective with today’s paper.

The paper that revolutionized newspapers three decades ago with splashy color photos and info graphics is going to increase color, photos and info graphics even more with the redesign.

The website’s redesign will go into effect in beta form over the weekend before going live on Monday.

Other than freebies at hotels, I haven't seen anyone with this newspaper in quite some time. The liberal spin needs attention more so than a design.

I used to pick it up 30 yrs. ago to read the sports page in between classes at school. Probably the last time I read it.

Does it appear to have aspects of Obama’s campaign logo?

If the word “soul-less” can be used to describe a newspaper then it definitely applies to USA. It is about as interesting as an airport departure lounge or a suburban mall.

Hmm. It's round and uses the same colors as the 0 logo.
Looks like a voting ballot being put in a round box.
More than a little subliminal I'd say.

Exactly, I only read it when I’m staying at a hotel. Decent sports section, good weather page, that’s about it.

I get it every day and when I saw the new design this morning I was floored,It is terrible.
Whatever idiots came up with this design need to be fired. Nothing stands out anymore and it looks like a small town newspaper with no imagination.
The have struck out with this, somethings need to be left alone.
