tu faces Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl on Oct 13, and then plays TCU in November...so the Longhorns will be tested eventually. There's West Virginia even before that so the first real test comes in two weeks. Meanwhile aTm and Mizzou are looking less like SEC competition than UL-Monroe has.
