The premise seems too farfetched for me.

After fifteen years, the population were too stupid to figure out how to develop things?

I watched Lost for a couple of seasons, but it got worse as it went on. Recall the tall waving grass that waved for several episodes, only to find a polar bear cub causing it. But hey, if one polar bear in the tropics is good, why not two???

Many of these shows start out sort of okay, but either the writers run out of ideas or they just get lazy.

RE: Lost. The guy who played the young doctor was on one of the talkshows. He said the episodes in the first season seemed ‘thrown together’ because they were. They [writers and actors] didn’t expect Lost to get past 4 episodes, so, when it turned out to be a hit, they were in panic mode to develop the plot and more episodes.

The event also caused everyone to start thinking like a liberal with an Ethinic Studies degree.

“Why kill animals for meat? Just go to the grocery stores and get it.”

“Electric cars don’t pollute or use energy. You just plug them into the wall.”

“A muslim who cuts your head off is just a misunderstood victim of colonialism, but a Christian who eats a chicken sandwich is EVIL!!”

A world full of these people could not figure out how to make a permanent magnet generator.
