Really, some cakes are super easy to make; frosting, too. Follow the recipe for frosting on the chocolate chip bag and look up “hobo cake recipe” on google for a great, easy choc. cake. You mix the ingredients in the 9x12 pan you bake it in. No sifting of regular flour/dry ingredients. Just put everything in there and mix it up with a fork. We add peanut butter to the frosting. Yum.
God only knows what ingredients are in mass produced factory food these days. Give your body a break! Make a hobo cake and see if your body reacts in the same way. If you have a bad reaction to home made cake and frosting, it might be sugar.
It is also fun to bake your own cake. And the delicious smell of a cake in the oven is wonderful.
Sara, I googled the recipe for hobo cake, but could not find a chocolate one. Everything I found was more of a fruit cake...either with raisins or more of a cherry pineapple cake. I even googled chocolate hobo cake. Do you mind sharing your recipe? Thanks!!
