Raising three boys here, too. IMHO, it probably has less to do with the paddle and more to do with who's administering it. I never spanked or hit. A few times, though, when the first boy was a toddler, I had to employ a firm swat to keep him from running away, out into the street, etc. I still remember him laughing at me whenever I did it. Lucky for me, they've all turned out to be good boys.

Yes...I absolutely know just how abused you were. You are such a loveable man, who is capable of loving his family so gosh darn much....the abuse must have been incredible. lol
