I wrote to you to encourage you. You thanked me for my encouragement by doing some more shtick on being satan’s son. You can remove me from your ping list. Your actions speak louder than your words..
Twist the knife?
Hardly. Just trying (vainly apparently) to make a point:
Charm, wit and levity
will win you in the start
but in the end it's brevity
that keeps the public's heart
It's a big forum. Let's 'just miss one another' a lot. :)
Which one's Will?
It's that goofy little kid, right next to Picard, on the bridge, who seems to know how to stabilize the warp field EVERY damned time.
My son is a great source of support on this for me (funny he is better at this than I am, as I raised him... but anyway). When I start talking about stocking up food supplies for the coming mess we are about to enter, he reminds me: If it is truly the end times, and our dealings with the Savior have been made right, then we have nothing to worry about. Either God provides or we won’t be here. Those times are coming.
I cannot see how people would remotely consider putting this administration back in charge for another four years given where they have driven this nation in the past four years. Seriously? I am reassured by people who remind us that the polls had Carter ahead in 1980; but, still I wonder and worry.
Nah, we need to keep him around, that damned warp field won’t stabilize itself.
I'd remind him back, the old WWII phrase: "Praise God... but pass the ammunition."
Most of the "editorials" I've read are well written but simplistic. Example, this one here. Things most here knew or figured out a long time ago. What I often post is researched, straight-from-the-horse's-mouth, convincing evidence of what Obama and the commie left are up to. Conveniently gathered facts which can be easily passed along to friends, relatives or enemies. Much of it is stuff you won't see many other places. You do write very well, however. Your use of the language is impressive. But, again, I'll take substance over style every time.
I have to be honest with you, I don’t want to have to live in that kind of world. At the time of the Revolution, Civil War, this country was worth fighting for. But, if we are entering the end times, I want to be gone. I will try to post more from home, but there are so many other things that have gone way wrong in this country, I am not sure it is repairable.
Thanks for the thread Laz. I am with you, that we truly are at the place where only God can turn it around. That being said, I also believe that it is our job to show that we are ready and willing to step up in His name, and that we are worthy of His intervention - think Diogenes : |
And RushIsMyTeddyBear, thanks for the link.... I think : /
May God guide our course, and share his strength.

They have infiltrated the schools, colleges, bureaucracies, media and non-profits almost totally.
I'll make one last attempt. I'm not sure why.... however, then I am done.
Do you know the basic rule of good presentation? It is this: Tell them what you are going to tell them, then tell them, then tell them what you told them... and BE SUCCINCT WHEN YOU ARE DOING SO. Most CEOs (and other public speakers) follow this formula with great success.
Let us consider a radio broadcast. Perhaps it has crucial information in it. But if the signal is hard to discern, scratchy or unintelligable or has way too much information for too little a time, most people will tune out. An attractive broadcast, however, expounding on one single theme, often gets and holds peoples' attention.
The goal of a communicator is not to talk, or write. THE GOAL OF A COMMUNICATOR IS TO BE HEARD, OR BE READ.
You won't be read if your message is unattractive. You will be read if your message is attractive. Part of being attractive is being succinct and limiting your message bandwith to something manageable.
What you would term 'simplistic' is, to my perception, a manageable-sized and attractive message.
Remember the old story about how a flood came while a man was in his house and he prayed to God to rescue him from his house? First a man came and warned him to leave in his car and the man said no God is going to rescue me. Then a man came in a boat as the waters rose and the man in the house said, No God is going to rescue me... and then a rescue man in a helicopter came and the man refused, saying, no, God is coming to rescue me. Finally the man died. When he got to heaven, he asked God why he had not rescued him. God said, well I sent you a man in a car, a man in a boat and a man in a helicopter, what else did you want?
Twist the knife? Hardly. Just trying (vainly apparently) to make a point:
I understand it wasn't your intent. It was just a cheap, schoolyard bully-like attempt at instigating trouble between us, while the bully runs off someplace snickering.
All emails failed. Additionally, when I discovered hotmail was retired, trying the other options (@live.com and @outlook.com) all failed. Any other methods would be appreciated.
I don’t think that is what we are talking about though. I do that every day, right? What I am talking about is that if we get down to the end, and we are thinking we have to survive an apocalypse, Christians are going to be part of that suffering.
No harm, no foul.
WTF???
I call BS and you must have misunderstood The Great Laz.
