Good luck with the cider.

I want to do a cider but being a total newbie to brewing I’m starting with Ed Wort’s Apfelwine: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f25/man-i-love-apfelwein-14860/
Seems incredibly cheap, simple and near foolproof.
Started it this afternoon.

I'm staste-testing a cider made froma variation of that recipe right now. Initially, I thought it was ruined since it smelled like a weak vinegar. After reading the threads, I decided to wait and let it settle a bit longer.
We'll see.
