LOS ANGELES -- Stadium developers cleared the final political hurdle to bringing the NFL back to Los Angeles on Friday when the city council unanimously approved plans to build a $1.5 billion football stadium downtown.
The next step before construction can begin, potentially next spring, is to convince an NFL team -- or maybe two -- to move.

“the city will issue bonds to pay for a projected $314 million convention center building next door to the stadium. Those bonds eventually would be repaid by AEG.”
Brilliant. What will these rocket scientists dream up next?
The Miami Dolphins are looking for a new home.
^ San Diego Chargers.
This is why I say there is NO funding problem for infrastructure in this country. There is simply no political will to spend money on non-sexy things like roads, bridges etc. If the NFL wants a stadium in the LA market they should pay for it! I guarantee they will re-coop the expense PDQ. Hey but the NFL owners think 'If I can horn swoggle broke Californian numb nut public and politicians to pay for it such much the better' !
I hope no team moves there
Because they can soooo afford that!
Who is reporting that? It's news to me.

I do, too. LA is home of the Occidental College Tigers. Why would it need another team?
This article refutes the rumors, but the rumors are out there.
