We were talking about this very thing. What was Iowa, the state I'm from, thinking about? If you can't get off the couch and away from Honey Boo Boo to go vote, maybe you have a more extensive problem.

My family has always treated "voting DAY" as a very special day..a day of pride in our country. My Mom really instilled in us to go vote or don't bitch about the outcome. Make time for your country. Oh well..just my rant.

The people early voting are overwhelmingly partisan. NOTHING is going to sway their vote. Obama could be caught in bed with a goat and 10 kilos of coke and the Rats would still vote for him. The only ones left that the debates are going to sway are the vaunted “independents”. And frankly if those idiots are still undecided after almost 4 years of this crap they probably shouldn’t be allowed to vote. I’m sick of elections in this country coming down to the very idiots too stupid and uninterested to actually pay attention for 99% of the time.

My biggest problem with early voting is the potential for widespread fraud. Examples in Wisconsin were Rats going into nursing homes and group homes for the disabled and ‘helping” them fill out their ballots.

....This 59-year-old housewife is going to wait for Nov. 6 to vote. I'll be out there braving the weather with other Wapello voters after I have all the information.....

I seriously doubt that any info that may come forward will change the 59 year old housewife's vote. I suspect that most people that vote early have their candidate chosen and will stick with that candidate through thick and thin. Hell we could still be riding around in the horse and buggy mode but things change, so adapt.

Early voters are not going to be swayed by a debate. If we had early voting in SC I would go. As it is, I will vote absentee as there is no guarantee I will be in town on election day.

Rush said something yesterday to the effect that early voting started in Iowa and that the RATS had cast 100,000 votes to the pubbies 6,000. I don’t know it’s true or if Rush was saying it “tongue in cheek”. Any Iowans out there who can clarify this?
