‘Cowboy’ ammo is a reduced powder load, usually. Even out of a 18 inch barrel it would be hard pressed to penetrate through four layers of denum then 7 inches into a human body. I would stick to the jacketed hollow point ammo. Wouldn’t hurt to have a .357 ball ammo boxes, too.

A 250 gr bullet would be in 45 Longcolt caliber. A .357 in cowbot action load would be more along the lines of 158 grain bullet. But the point is the reduced recoil powder load which reduces velocity and therefore ft/lb energy on impact, done for cowboy action shooting to aid with follow up shots.

That lady doesn’t look old enough to have had 19; some must be adopted. 6am and I don’t remember yesterday’s article; need coffee.

Home Depot had these amazing shelf units on sale, and I bought all 19 of the remaining inventory:

Easy to do with shelf units like that.

Maybe the pollen in the local honey helps with allergies and such?

Those are great plastic shelf units. When I was putting the ones I have in my garage together, I ran a three inch screw through the shelf, to attach the unit to the wall studs so they won’t tip over easily. Makes then that much more stable when loaded down.

Good idea. I set-up 10 of them for Dad in his basement, and we had to both shim-up the front legs and secure them to the wall: his concrete floor wasn’t perfectly flat. I checked my Condo’s basement floor w a level, and it’s perfect, but since it’s a CB wall, I’d have to use lag-bolts into the block. So I put the heavier weight on the lower 2nd & 3rd shelves, just so they wouldn’t get top-heavy. But I might consider some lag-bolting, just for an extra measure of stability.

Thank you for your service. But I must ask, where have you been for almost the past 4 years? Again, where have you been?

I know where I have been. I have been living as an American citizen in Panama for most of my life. Between ‘87 and ‘89, I was out in the street fighting Noriega.

Now you are going to ask why the U.S. had to come to Panama’s rescue.

Answer: Nixon started the ball rolling. It quickly drove Panama into a dictatorship. Hence, this was a U.S. made problem. Nixon did not agree with the president the Panamanians had legally elected.

Eleven days later after President Arias assumed office Nixon had the new president kicked out, and the legal civilian government was replaced with the military.

There were several/many big, big heroes during those awful times, but one of the big heroes that stands out was Billy Ford.

P.S.

Something I did not want to discuss, but I will say it now: I was shot at several times.

Where have you been for the past 4 years?

I am not a chicken as most of my U.S. country folks are.

Nope. Been eating out of it. That’s how I know it’s good. Gotta go buy more so I’m good for another 7 + years.

I recommend a few decks of cards, board games, a Bible and a dictionary (especially if you pack a Scrabble game - after all that prepping to stay alive you don’t want somebody getting strangled because of an argument over an archaic variant spelling).
