My thoughts on Intrade is that this election isn't going to be like any other they've been around to bet on...... There are too many people out there who know how to read a polls internals now and can disseminate the information to others that we know.
Somebody on here likened it to the Catholic Church being the only one who spoke Latin, therefore, they pretty much told the masses who couldn't read Latin what to think......BUT..... now that the masses have learned how to read Latin "the church" (Like the MSM) doesn't control the information exclusively anymore.....
And if it's looking sooooo good for Obozo then why does this guy have his short and curlies so tangled up for?
Everywhere there is a market, there are people trying to manipulate others. Get the suckers to pay high prices right before the crash. That’s the way to win big, right?
I’m not sure where Intrade is based, but since Americans can bet on political outcomes, I don’t think it matters. In the past, one could bet on sports in real time, and the odds would be reflected with every completed pass or base hit.
I do think that Intrade might just be mirroring the polling, and that the odds will get much closer to 50-50 as we approach Election Day.

It could be a “pump and dump” scheme. I’m not really that familiar with how much volume actually trades there. The greater the volume, the more difficult it would be to manipulate.
My paralegal was in here looking for reassurance this AM. I said i can only hope that much like in 2010, and in the WI recall, there is a silent, angry horde that cannot wait to be unleashed on the polls. They don’t respond to polls, they don’t know from Intrade, and they are disgusted with the MSM. There’s no reason [other than the bogus, manipulated polls] to think anything has changed in the past two years.

I won’t watch the debate live because I have a beautiful, large flatscreen tv that would be in grave danger. I will follow it on FreeRepublic, Twitter, and later on, on FOX and Talk Radio. I realize this is a cowardly act, but my failure to watch it live will not change the vote totals of either candidate.
i have no intention of watching it bc my BP cannot take the stress. i will follow it on Twitter and FR, i find that buffer makes it bearable.

Someone on Freerepublic was saying on a thread that, its easy to make a bet but harder to get your money after the fact. Anyhow.....
By the way, I have seen the original Manchurian Candidate and it is a masterpiece. I just liked the dripping campaign button better for making my point. It seemed timingly appropriate considering Bengazi, and now the 2007 tape of Obama's racist comments.....
but we know how he is w/o TOTUS, so it’s not a slam dunk that he will look brilliant. now it’s entirely possible that Jim Lehrer will have fed him the questions in advance or that someone will be talking in his ear to tell him what to say.
