eOnline ^ | 10/04/2012 | by John Whalen

The James Bond film franchise turns 50 today, so we're celebrating something called Global James Bond Day. And if you don't, the studio bosses will evaporate the world's oceans with lasers from space.

Really and clearly, Global James Bond Day is all about promoting Skyfall, the 23rd 007 film, which opens next month.

So where will Daniel Craig's latest stack up against the previous Bond films? Will it be better than the excellent Casino Royale? More cringe-worthy than Moonraker?

To help you assess the looming threat of Global James Bond Day, we present our list of 22 the previous Bond films, ranked from worst to best.

And we're just kidding about the laser.

See how we rank the 22 James Bond movies

Quite refreshing to see the underrated “Moonraker” make a top 3.

I’ll have to. But no one’s topping Sean as the best 007...he’s the man.

I’m telling Craig is a radical departure from previous Bonds closest i can say is he is mixture of Bourne and Dalton...Your GF will enjoy it as well got a nice female character in it..

I take your word for it; I will watch them!

Even without seeing his 007’s, I don’t think Craig can top his performance in Layer Cake. That film is poetry in motion.

Yep it is a beautiful filmed movie have you ever noticed the different highly original way he would segway through scenes.

Example:When the guy is listening in the bar the camera moves in on the beer eventually the whole screen is filled with the reddish brown beer, then the camera starts pulling back and it pulls back to reveal the wood on the inside of the Bentley.

Trust me you will be saying you should have watched it a long time ago and QOS is really a continuation of CR.

I’d have to rewatch some of them and take my time to do a proper ranking.

Haven’t seen Octopussy in while but I remember being bored. Moonraker was idiotic and Moore had no chemistry with Lois Chiles.

Brosnan’s best was definitely Goldeneye.

Jonathan Pryce was a gigantic ham in TND. I liked Michelle Yeoh though. She was much better as a female agent than Hallie Berry.

Moore was to old for Octopussy worst Bond movie ever.

Concur with Goldeneye..

I always got the idea that Pryce was based on that ass that owned CNN but i did not like the back and forth quips with Brosnan especially on the bike.

Goldeneye has Alan “Flamer” Cumming in it...yuck. He makes Rich Tisei look macho. Also, Sean Bean looks smelly.

Lois Chiles: Very sexy voice.

“Jonathan Pryce was a gigantic ham in TND. I liked Michelle Yeoh though. She was much better as a female agent than Hallie Berry.”

I like Jonathan Pryce. Him being a jabroni I don’t mind. Michelle Yeoh might be a better agent, but Hallie Berry is/was SMOLDERING hot, even if she can’t drive a car...not that MY is a dog, but Hallie...BOING!!!

“Haven’t seen Octopussy in while but I remember being bored.”

I remember thinking “This stinks...” as a tyke watching it in the theater. Contrast that to the “Totally awesome!!!” (yes, it was the 80’s) reaction I had watching Never Say Never Again that same year.

Which old Bond movie had the opening of Bond in a helicopter and swooped down and picked up a guy in a wheel chair and dropped him in a smoke stack?

Well I would rather screw Hallie but that wasn’t the only factor I was considering. ;p

The other day her Catwoman movie was on, never saw it, heard horrible things. It was awful but I watched a good 20 minutes cause she looked hot.

Liberals compared the Pryce character to Rupert Murdoch, of course.

Ted Turner is more accurate, cause he’s nuts.
