We need to get government OUT of our schools. Then, put back Virtue, like it was in ALL curricula since our Founding. Founders stated the reason for education was to promote Public Virtue (which is what Socrates stated).
God and Prayer were Common in ALL PUBLIC SCHOOLS and the Bible was quoted in all textbooks. All Classics (dead white men) must be returned—all of them teach Excellence (which is what Virtue is), Honor, Courage, Responsibility and Wisdom.
Virtue is the only thing which leads to the Good Life. (Happiness). This is proven in all philosophical schools until Marx.
Then, women like Palin will be respected and lauded-—and pathetic people like Bill Clinton would never even get to the governorship. Evil character—if found out—was always reasons for immediate dismissal from office—and judgeship. Character MATTERS!!!! Schools are teaching our children that they should not only tolerate Evil-—they should take Pride in it.
We need to bring back Virtue (which is Justice and Excellence). Kick out all the Marxists-—they do not believe in our Natural Rights from God—which is NOT a religious “test”—it is a Constitutional Fact!
Our country was born brave and free from dependence and government oppression. It became the freest and most prosperous nation on earth and maybe in history. But at around 250 years old, America has come to the brink of both economic collapse and formally declaring itself a socialist government, the latter being the direct cause of the former. Astonishing.
Yet, although astonishing, it is nothing new. Man has always tended towards his own destruction. America has by far been the exception, not the rule, in the history of man’s misery and oppression. Paul in the New Testament confronted this tendency with the church in Galatia:
But now, after you have known God, or rather are known of God, how is it that you now turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto you desire again to be in bondage? Galatians 4:9
So even God’s people have this problem of “desiring again to be in bondage.” It has been shown that 250 years is generally the upper limit for a society to remain free because man tends towards government entitlements and handouts which leads to tyranny – EVERY TIME.
The answer, therefore, isn’t more of the same, setting up something new somewhere that would be lucky to last anywhere near 200+ years. The answer is a radical change. That radical change is the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the not too distant future, He will come as King of the world to rule and reign for 1000 years. (Rev 20:4.) Man without God has been an unmitigated disaster. God Himself will be here to show man what His rule as Prince of Peace will look like. Some of the descriptive words of his government are in Isaiah 61: good reports everywhere, healing, liberty, people being setting free, comfort, beauty, joy, praise, building, raising up, repairing. THIS is what we and the whole world are really looking for.
We can have peace because we personally know this wonderful Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. But we also can take comfort knowing this is the ultimate fate of the world – the bad guys LOSE and the good guys WIN. In the meantime, with this perspective in mind, we can take courage doing the best we can until the Lord comes.
This will be the ultimate political answer, it is coming very soon, and it comes from a loving God "who so loves the world." (John 3:16.) (BTW, before He comes, Satan will provide a counterfeit Christ and those who don't know the real Jesus Christ will fall for it.) Knowing Jesus Christ personally is the key to real personal peace and joy no matter what the current condition of the world.
I totally agree with much of what you say. The only reason the USA was such a success was because we were founded under God’s Laws—a country not ruled by kings, but by the Rule of Law (Just Laws (These HAVE to be virtuous to be Just).
The Founders all stated that the only way to preserve a Free Republic was to promote “Public Virtue”, meaning the Judeo-Christian Ethics of the Holy Bible.
When Virtue is lost—there will be no civil society. Now, the Cultural Marxists (Satanists) know that to destroy Virtue is easy. All you have to do is get control of the minds of children (Lenin) and fill their heads with agitprop (TV) and misinformation. Confusion so they do not understand Good and Evil. Then they fall for any lie.
That is what the schools started doing with Dewey. Blurring Good and Evil and mocking Christianity and their “myths”, while they spread the absurd “myth” of Darwinism as “Truth”. For them to replace Christian Faith with Satan’s Faith defies Reason and Logic and Natural Laws, since nothing can ever be created from nothing.....but I regress. Brainwashing and Conditioning is all that happens in Public Schools now—which destroys the ability to use Reason and Logic. Their foundation of “knowledge” is filled with lies and half-truths-—like Heather has two mommies-—and they condition children into thinking evil things are “NaturaL” (New Normal) and “Good” when they deny Natural Rights and promote evil, destructive behaviors (Vice).
The children are being intentionally corrupted to destroy the ability to be Virtuous—and know God. Only a return to Christianity like at our Beginning, will America be able to reap freedom and happiness. Yes, Christ is the answer. Always was. We used to acknowledge that in the public square. Now we are trying to erase everything Christian——so the kids won’t know the Truth. Christianity-—the theology which led to the end of the idea that slavery was “good” and pederasty and homosexuality was “normal”, has been the most rational and successful religion in the history of man—when you compare freedom, women rights, children’s welfare, hospitals, universities, libraries, etc. No other religion has such universal appeal connected with freedom and dignity for every human being.
But Thessalonians I & II are written to believers to comfort them by telling us that Jesus will come to take us before the revelation of the "man of sin" (AKA the "anti-Christ, the Beast) and the day of God's wrath.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ..." (1 Thessalonians 5:9.)
