ABCNews and Yahoo has the following article (link only):
Its Tebow time for Biden and Ryan: How the VP debate could change the end game
The article focuses on the Ryan-Biden debate.
But a bigger question in my mind: what if Tim Tebow came out in Strong Support of Paul Ryan because of religious reasons.
Tim Tebow and his mother made the very powerful anti-abortion (pro-life) commercial while he was in college.
Now, for the same reason, what would happen if Tim Tebow would come out swinging for Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney because their campaign supports his Christian values.
The media just knows how to use terms like: It's Tebow Time. But what if Tim Tebow comes out and makes a statement about the election. Just as he wore John 3:16 in face paint on national TV, he might now make a statement.
And such a statement would cause a number of people to re-act.
Especially if Tim makes a statement like: Paul Ryan is the most Christian candidate in this Presidential Race of the Four
There would be more piling on, personal fouls, and other intense action in the media as the result of such a statement.
The New York Jets would be the center of ... controversy.
But with what is going on with that NFL team, it might actually help them.
Who cares what Hollywood stars think! Let's hear what Tim thinks...
Not going to happen!
Tim Tebow is Pro Life!
Mitt Romney favors abortion when in cases of rape, when the mommy’s life may be in danger or when the pregnancy poses a health concern for the mommy.
I can already guess what Tim thinks. I think he should stick to doing his thing. He will do more good by encouraging others to look to God for guidance.
ABC and Yahoo just want to destroy Tebow because he believes in God. They hate him and his positive outlook.
Tebow is a football player.
I like the guy, and share his views.
But, I care about his political opinions like I care about the political opinions of Madonna and Weird Al Yankovich -—that is, not at all.
If Tim came out in favor of Romney, he would never be in a play for the Jets again, and likely not at another team either.
Bad idea. He’s a football player. He should stick with playing football. I wouldn’t care to hear from Vick how much he loves Obama. It’s outside their respective lanes.
I don’t doubt for a moment which ticket Tebow would be most likely inclined towards, but with Romney’s rather horrid pro-abortion history and Ryan now happy with homosex in the military, I wouldn’t exactly expect him to stick his neck out for it.
This fine young man, doesn’t need the abuse that would await him on the field, or in the MSM.. His courage has already cost him on a New York team, why punish him any more just to poke them in their eye.. Let it go Tim, we understand where your heart is already..
“If Tim came out in favor of Romney, he would never be in a play for the Jets again”
That’s not true. The Jet’s owner, Woody Johnson, is a huge Romney supporter.
The overwhelming majority of the country wouldn't care less who a mediocre second-string QB from a Noo Yawk team endorsed?
The owner, yes. The others involved, not so much.
“The owner, yes. The others involved, not so much.”
You’re right about that!
How about just wishing for Tim a receiver that can catch a pass?
99.9% of everyone who likes Tim Tebow enough to care who he endorses is ALREADY voting for Romney/Ryan.
However, the fact the MSM has the term Tebow Time is a tribute to this quarterback. And his replacement (Peyton Manning) is probably doing a little bit better job than Tim this year...
Maybe they will both be known as great, Hall-of-Fame Quarterbacks.
Joe foot-in-mouth Biden coming through in Tebow Time? I'll bet on flying pigs first...
How about just wishing for Tim a receiver that can catch a pass?
<><><><><>
LOL. He’s thrown all of 2 passes this year. One was caught.
Y’all won’t need to wait too long for Tebow time as a Jet. Another couple of mediocre starts for Sanchez and they’ll be turning to Tebow.
And after that experiment ends poorly, which, IMO, it will, well, I don’t know who their 3rd stringer is.
How far do we need to look to see how many can’t-miss college qbs miss?
Very few people thought that Tebow would make a good NFL QB...
I can agree with that. I also believe his present use by the Jets is a very good way to use him. I agree with Rex Ryan, that Tebow as punt protector takes away the rush. Tebow in the redzone forces defenses to respect his run up the middle. I would think Tebow on second and short also makes for a lot of interesting possibilities.
When a win or loss so often comes down to one or two plays, having Tebow can make all the difference. He has to get the ball to the receiver, the receiver has to catch it and in those gadget plays where Tebow is the receiver, he and the passer have to be on the same page. In the meantime, he's gaining confidence.
I'd say stick with Sanchez as starter until at least mid-season when defenses are beginning to get banged up. Then, if the team doesn't appear to be on a playoff track, look for an opportunity to start a "fresh" Tebow.

I wonder how Broncos license sales compare this year versus the latter half of last year? Manning definitely looks better in the pocket even though they are losing. I don't see the Broncos getting the kind of return on investment with Manning like they got with Tebow.
Maybe they will both be known as great, Hall-of-Fame Quarterbacks.
To do that, Tebow will have to develop a better pocket presence to reduce the physical punishment he receives.
I'll just be happy if he makes it to the NFL retirement age.
