Iranian hackers are directly attacking Nations largest banks, we are under attack. You may not see it, but if you're having problems getting to your online accounts today, now you know why.
It's NOT being reported how bad this problem is. I couldn't get a connection out of the building today, I'm using my personal wifi to get a Internet connection.
This is the worst attack yet, they are getting better and smarter at it each day. I think it's an act of war.
A few questions come to mind. The first of which: how do you know it’s the Iranians?
Get an account at a credit union. The iranians do not know about those.
An anynomymous person is telling us Iran is committing an act of war on the US.
What are we supposed to do with this information? Spread it around?
ME: Did you hear Iran is attacking our electronic Infrastructure?
Friend: Really Who told you?
ME: I don’t know.
Did not realize the Iranians were part of Occupy Wall Street
A message from our bank a couple of weeks ago:
I have online access to four accounts at two different large banks (Bancorp and BOA) - I’ve been on both of their portals today and experienced no problems whatsoever.
How have you verified the purported attacks are originating in Iran? I can spoof an IP in under 1 minute and use proxy servers to make it look like this message is coming from any place you want to name. What is the verification?
You’re not very up on the news..... Google Iranian hackers and banks.
How do we know its them? Ask someone in the intelligence community or a banking regulator what they’ve been pulling their hair out for the last five days over.
That’s who we’ve been working with. Btw, I’m not one to typically post cryptic messages, I have a long credible history on FR should anyone care to look. Class of 98 here.
Yep, and they’re at it again. We just put several new filters in to stop their DDOS attack here.
I’m telling you though, it won’t be long before they figure out how to get past what we just implemented. It’s the second time they managed to impact us. They seem to either have some really high powered algorithms to figure out how to attack or some really good highly adaptable highly creative people.
And yes, I do consider what they’re doing as an act of war against America. Electronic warfare is still warfare and they are attempting to damage our country and our way of life. What else would one call what they’re doing, tiddlywinks?

Note the fourth bullet...
Also, searched the name of the extremist group who “pre-announced” their attack and found these articles:
And yes, I do consider what theyre doing as an act of war against America. Electronic warfare is still warfare and they are attempting to damage our country and our way of life.

I totally concur with your observation above!
We are in a BIG mess, and most people are totally unaware!
Week before last there were news reports on the major media that attacks originating in Iran had been directed against Chase, PNC Bank, Bank of America, and a few other financial institutions. When I couldn’t log onto my online bank account I went into a branch, where the staff confirmed that the problem was not mine and that they had been under a major hack attack. It affected my mortgage lender too, which made it difficult to pay my mortgage and get the payment credited by the due date.
So if there’s a problem today too, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the Iranians again. Or the Chinese. Or the Russians. Or any of our other innumerable enemies. The point is that financial institutions have to harden their operations or the bad guys will be able to bring this country down without recourse to missiles, nukes, or even terrorist violence.
