Sucks because of their meltdown last night, Verlander won’t pitch Game 1 of the ALCS.

I would have never gone with Valverde in that situation last night. He’s a great closer but doesn’t do well under pressure.

Verlander on the other hand does his best work under pressure.

I have lived in the DFW area for 20 years but I grew up in the Bay Area. Became an A's fan in the 5th grade in Walnut Creek and have rooted for them ever since.
