Biden was out of control in last night's debate. The sit-down format of the debate was deliberate and lends itself to this type of hyperbole attitude strategy exhibited by this poor excuse for a VP. Biden has that wicked joker smile, which is awkward and creepy... Nonetheless, Obama, mistakenly thought like in his own debate, that Biden did a good job. I can see Obama and Biden high-five'n each other in that corrupt, hood-winking, thuggish, Chicago-style poltician manner that only this Adminstration can. All this left me convinced that this administration has now become shameless in their pursuit of the "dumb vote". Biden single handedly managed to denigrate the office he now, but not for long, occupies. This is who the uneducated, herded masses want running our country folks... It was clear as day who the most viable candidate was for that office, but in the fiendish liberal minds that difference is upside down, like all the other libtard world views. We are really dealing with political thugs in office now. Hopefully, in slightly over three weeks that will change...

I that particular goal I'm sure Biden was successful.
Any thoughtful person must've been disgusted by Biden's shtick. I don't think they made much progress with undecideds.

Biden was originally chosen as Obama’s running mate not to add ‘gravitas’ or foreign policy experience to the ticket, but rather for two purposes. First, never to upstage Obama, whose fragile ego would never handle such an act without collapsing, and second, to secure the ‘doofus vote’ for Obama.
Biden was incredibly successful in both. By comparison with Biden, even a pile of dog crap would look intelligent and sophisticated, and so did Obama.
As for the doofus vote, the Dems love ‘identity politics’, and so Biden was perfect - pretty much anybody who was a clueless idiot, a gullible fool, an imbecile, a doddering vegetable, or an arrogant know-nothing saw Biden as one of their own and voted for Obama-Biden.
The Biden who showed up at last night’s debate had his marching orders to ensure that the American Doofus would vote for Obama once again, and so he probably achieved that limited goal.
I’ve always believed that Biden was Obama’s life insurance policy.
