I really don’t see what Obama can possibly say at this point to flip independents back over to his side.
His options are narrowing quickly.
1) October Surprise - bomb something and count on the “rally around the flag” effect to get him through.
2) Super-charge his base to turn out in massive numbers with a huge vote-buying scam like Student Loan Forgiveness.
3) Instigate some type of crisis and try to use it as an excuse to postpone the election.
I personally think he’ll try Option 2.
It’s too late for student loan forgiveness.
He can’t do it by EO and no one is in Congress.
That had to be done before the election recess. Bringing it up now won’t work.
