That’s because no matter how new and shiny it is.........it does not have the HISTORY behind it.

None of the old timers ever played there. I don’t think they take into consideration, when creating a new stadium, the history they leave behind, in which we are fond of.

I clearly remember the uproar of the “new” Yankee Stadium....and it’s outrageous prices! We were pissed!

The old Tiger stadium was much more intimate. Every seat seemed like it was right up against the field. Even the cheap seats were great seats.

As far as history is concerned. I sat there and watched guys like Fydrich and Fielder, and Trammel from little more than 150 feet away.
