The Republicans can win; the Constitution Party cannot. It’s pragmatism.
Best bet is to follow Reaga’s advice and turn the Republican Party rightward.
Hey I’m ok with doing it this way - rebuild the GOP with better conservatives/constitutionalists.
Lately, I’ve been supporting candidates I want, not the GOP.
It would be much easier to simply hijack the Republican party and turn it conservative, because the GOP already has an established infrastructure. In either case, hijacking the GOP or founding a successful new party, the established, monied political elite has to be overturned. Likewise, in either case, a tremendous amount of money, time, and effort will be required from literally hundreds of thousands of truly decicated people.
True zealotry is always required to effect an upheaval of this magnitude. Right now, conservatives are outnumbered, outgunned, outmonied, and outzeloted. History shows that, most likely, those conditions will not improve until a significant, abrupt societal collapse of some type occurs.
Because the Republican candidate is the most conservative candidate who can win.
“Why is the Republican Party better than choosing the Constitution Party?”
Because we actually want to win elections sometimes.
This is exactly what I have been doing. Putting my money in the conservative candidate. If we can flush out the RINOS, great.
