It's one of those natural ratios, like that of gold to silver in mines, that national numbers simply don't allow for a state like OH to not be at least within MOE, which is a Romney victory. The historical reality, of course, is that OH Rs have overperformed the national average in five of the last six elections, and in the sixth were within a fraction of the national average.

In other words, if Gallup is right, OH is a 4-5 point Romney victory, at minimum.

I overheard a conversation between two black government workers today. One mentioned the debate and the other said that Romney was slick. He said it in a way which suggested he was actually impressed and almost awed by it.

My own thought is that by attacking Romney Obama has turned this election into the Mitt show. That makes Mitt seem more important and presidential than Obama.
