The gist - Woman had some sort of blod clot issue with her pregnancy, and Romney opposed the abortion of the baby whatever the circumstances.

(Is it just me, or is Romney suddenly hyper-conservative in private?)

If it is this, then Allred (who, yes, is the very definition of ‘piece of sh7t’) will have to do better. Religious leaders oppose abortions all the time. It’s not like Romney held her down and waited until she had the baby to prevent her having an abortion.

I knew they would go after something to do with Romney’s religion, and here it is. Typical liberals.

Something that happened in 1983?? We weren’t allowed by the press to talk about BO’s redistribution comments because it was too old as in around 1997. I’m sick of the abortion issue and I think most other women are too. This is no big deal if this is it. Time to go back and bring back BO’s drug use in the 80s and make a big huge deal out of it if she does this.

I started reading the article, and couldn’t believe that someone could create such a long article out of pure drivel. I could care less if Romney advised her not to abort the child. His advice apparently had no sway with her since she went ahead and did it anyway.

Romney “advised” (not forced) a Woman not to have an Abortion 30 years ago?

I thought the Romney haters said Romney was a big Abortion supporter just like Obama? How can this be?

Pardon my confusion.

From 1983? Give me a break. That’s 30 year old news. I certainly would not want to be judged for better or worse for something I did that long ago. Thinking women know that it is they who will have to stand before God on judgment day for an accounting of what they did or did not do in their lifetime. It’s like some asshat clown lawyers dredging up abuse cases from the Boy Scouts files that happened in the 1960’s.

If libs and the press chose to pay even a little attention to BO’s history or the lack thereof, we wouldn’t even be having these discussions.

I believe you might be right on this one...just read the entire thing - Allred jumps at this stuff and uses these women to hang others.

Synopsis: Mitt pulls for unborn child, while mother has medical issues, she is advised to and wants to terminate - claims Mitt was uncaring and insisted she continue the pregnancy - anyway.

The story quotes a close friend who knows Mitt and this person happens to be a 'Social Democrat' - smells like hit piece to me and may backfire.

It might get Obama's base riled up, but I think it will show he is more pro-life than not.

She said, he said...junk.

I read the article to page 6 then I became bored.

This happened in 1983. That’s 30 years ago. How popular were abortions back then? 2012 standards cannot be used for 1983.

Women are such a problem. They become members of a church and then want to change the rules. Those women had the choice of abiding by the rules, or leave. Romney was only doing his “job” according to the church guidelines.

I don’t see anything wrong with what Romney did. Nothing.
His behaviour is the same as some non LDS Pastors.
