But Mitt Romney's a Mormon! (Fear not)
The Washington Times Communities ^ | October 20, 2012 | Amanda Read

Our White House has been residence to Unitarians, at least one likely Deist, and multiple Freemasons. Is Romney’s Mormonism really any weirder?

I didn’t say Mormonism was Christian. I said that most religions that claim to be Christian, which is why I used the scare quotes, have somewhat similar episodes in their past.

But most of them are from the 1600s or before, not the mid-1800s.

We didn’t have an episode as appalling as the Mountain Meadows Massacre even during our Civil War.

So first you infer/claim to be God and now you infer/claim to know a persons sexual orientation.
Wow, God and a mind reader......you appear to have a very inflated ego.

It would not be difficult to find similar quotations in the similar period from Baptists and many other denominations.

They were wrong, and the Mormons were wrong, on this issue.

The Mormons, and most of the others, have fessed up that they were wrong.

Why keep bringing it up?

Regardless of forum, Elsie’s choice for president is odd enough to elicit such responses

Oh, I see you are basing your knowledge of mormonism on a few nice neighbors and co-workers, apparently, instead of what they actually teach or referring to people who have had decades of experience with every level of mormonism - yea I can see how your superficial knowledge is more informed than the other.

psst, there is a huge difference between a couple of nice mormon guys and mormonISM

What, that makes no logical sense, who is trying to impose shria law?
I mean I know islam wants to, but this is a discussion about mormonISM - so huh?

Lol. Drinking or something? It’s the chat. I generally only bother with you loons when you venture outside the religion forum.

Anyway, to take a few of your concerns in no particular order

- Sexual orientation. Since Elsie was talking about beating her wife, you know. I’ve since been told that Elsie is actually a male. I’m not sure exactly where that leaves us.

- Hate group. Yes, and it’s not my definition. It’s not so much the “old” antimormons as the ones believing that mormons are actually demonic.

- As for my own beliefs, I’m not a mormon, and I don’t give a particular da*n since to me anything after the OT is bunk. No matter the flopsweat over the concordances and stuff.

Really. You need to calm down or something. Obama was going hysterical earlier over lithium. Maybe it’s something in the air.

Have you noticed how there is a specific little list who claim they don't hate Mormons but are opposed to the ISM/ I too have made that assertion many times, in response to being called a 'Mormon hater'.

Fact is, I don't hate Mormons, not even Mitt Romney. And therein is a telling point: some of these self-appointed Inmans DO HATE at least one Mormon, they hate Mitt Romney, and have taken the religion forum to use for a political attack gaggle. When they come to 'Chat' and spew their hatred, it is fair game to point out their hypocrisy!

Why do you keep referring shria law?
What has that got to do with anything but islam?
Romney is a practitioner of mormonISM, his family is royalty in the mormonISM structure - there is nothing he does that is contrary to mormonISM.
The words you call not contextual are the mormonISM’s actual words, if you find they are not correct, please post the corrections. Thanks

You really do not know very much about mormons and mormonISM do you?

*Utah leads the nation in rates of depression
By James Thalman
Deseret Morning News (a mormon publication)
Nov. 29 2007 12:11 a.m.

*From the CDC
Utah Statistics are Among the Highest (number two) in the Nation for Depression, Rape, Child Abuse, and Pornography

*Utah’s personal bankruptcy rate is the highest in U.S. According to an August 2002 Associated Press article

Utah residents are more likely to file for bankruptcy than residents of any other state, according to a financial research organization.

*BYU 2002, mormons have lower than average income

*Utah has the firth highest foreclosure rates in the US

*SLC lds sated in 2005, that the divorce rate for mormons was 39%, temple mormons 6% (general mormons, yes lower than average)

*Just saying.....

(Yea, before you say “oh that’s Utah, Utah is 69% mormon)
