A tax on politicians? It's an offer they can't refuse

American politicians are always on the lookout for "new sources of revenue," which sounds a lot nicer than "sinking their fangs into our necks." But however you describe it, they just can't stop sucking our blood with their unending tax increases on the national, state and local levels.

They tax our gas, our houses, our sodas. They tax our smokes, they tax our roads, they tax our health care and our paychecks, and after we've paid, they even tax our deaths. Cutting government is painful for them. Their mantra? "Government can't afford a tax cut." So they tax us instead, but after the elections, when it's too late to do anything about it.

You'd think there's nothing left to tax. But then, you'd be wrong. We proud but beleaguered taxpaying saps of Chumbolone Nation have found a "new source of revenue" guaranteed to fill government coffers.

A tax on politicians.

And not just one tax, but what our elected bloodsuckers might call "an array of revenue-enhancement opportunities," including:

Kass is a Bridgeport kid, who is becoming more and more critical of the Democrat machine. My rub with him is that he has done their bidding at times.

Kass is one of the good guys. Don’t know what neighborhood he’s from. I think he’s his own man. And I don’t say this lightly or often.

He’s been on WLS 9 to 11 central time on WLS with Jake Hartford. I call those two my “ear candy”.
