YES - I have used Win 3.1, Win98, Win98SE, Win XP, Win Vista, Win 7, and Win 8 Preview.
Win 8 is hard to figure out - there is no start button and I spent much time trying to figure out how to shut it down. AND it is difficult to figure out how to get to the "old" desktop with program icons. Since I do not have a touch screen, I see NO REASON to move "UP" to Win 8 and will stick with my Win XP and Win 7 installs on 9 PCs I have between my house and my daughters.

Actually, if you really have dozens of applications or templates installed or more, the detailed text listing with the automatic alphabetization would be far easier than the sliding puzzle look of Windows 8 tile interface.
