IF the comics mirrored reality at all, the Daily Planet would have layed Clark off because ad revenue is plummeting across the dinosaur liberal media. Clark winds up a recluse in his apartment posting on chat sites trying to get people to read his blog.

Actually, Kent had a stint as anchorman of the GBS evening news back in the 70s.
