Can Hurricane Sandy cancel the election? (Vanity)

Posted on 10/26/2012 7:17:53 AM PDT by SandyLynn

Just a thought..I'm obviously a Nervous Nellie! I was watching Fox and Friends this morning, and they were all over the fact that Hurricane Sandy may cause voting problems in the upcoming election. Does anyone here think that the Liar In Chief might use the storm as an excuse to postpone/cancel the election? I put NOTHING past this administration!

Never going to happen. Obama, just like the 1st debate, is sure he will win!

It’s my understanding that elections are supervised by the states, not the federal government. So I think each state would make the call, based on how bad the storm was in their state.

If the storm is as bad as predicted, I would not be surprised to see Dems openly suggest that people are being disenfranchised by the weather, or even that some officials are intentionally slow to respond to the emergency in order to disenfranchise voters. That said, I don’t see how they accomplish a postponement of the elction.

If Bush was “selected not elected” by the USSC then if Romney wins because of a Hurricane, who will the dems blame for that?

The leftist freaks were certainly hoping a hurricane would cancel the GOP convention. As it was, they had to settle for some percentage reduction of it due to manipulating the hurricane forecast models.

Good thing MSNBC bought the Weather Channel, right, Hussein Heads?

couldn’t O just postpone the election with an EO?
WHO would attempt to stop him from doing that?
Certainly not the wimpy congress.
The SCOTUS?
Ha! Roberts would wuss out as well.

the storm is supposed to hit only Dem states along the northeastern seaboard - NY, MA, CT, RI, DE, ME. The only ones where delaying the election would have am impact would be NH and possibly, NJ (closer than most think). In addition, the storm will have been gone for a week by the time of Election Day.

No, the states still have to go by the constitution on federal elections. “Election Day” is clear.

Gov Bev wanted to postpone the election for a couple of years to give the Fraud and his mindless Hussein Heads more time...

I would think that if elections were Tuesday, it would be a huge problem but since there is a week after, I am sure they can get all the possible electrical problems taken care of by then.

“Ha! Roberts would wuss out as well.”

All because of his shady adoptions in 2000. NYT investigation launched a few years later with nothing further on it until needed.
