THIS WINTER STORM WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIAN
REGION THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...WITH SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS
AFFECTING MAINLY THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS ABOVE 2500 FEET OF SOUTHWEST
VIRGINIA...NORTHEAST TENNESSEE...AND THE SMOKY MOUNTAINS. TOTAL
SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS BY WEDNESDAY MORNING OF 6 TO 24 INCHES WILL
BE POSSIBLE OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS ABOVE 2500 FEET...WITH 2 TO 3
FEET POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS OF THE MOUNTAINS ABOVE
5000 FT. A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THESE AREAS
THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.
