Anyone know if there is a way to roll-back from Yahoo's new Homepage re-design that was just launched [NOT the Yahoo Mail re-design from a few years ago]?
My Mom uses Yahoo - and just got switched over. Hates the re-design, wants her old Yahoo Homepage back. This is not the My Yahoo homepage.
It's like the way Yahoo used to look. Free email accounts also.
This is for my Mom - she is 86. She uses Yahoo and is comfortable with it the way it is [used to be].
A couple of years ago, Yahoo switched her to the new Yahoo Mail - and she did not like it.
I found a way to switch her back - and she has been happy ever since.
Now, she wants to get rid of this new re-design - its a POS ...
Disregard the Yahoo home page completely and go right to mail login, set that up as a bookmark or the home page on her browser.
This afternoon I am using Internet Explorer. This is because I noticed that ‘my.yahoo.com’ is not supplying a security certificate recognized by Mozilla Firefox. This concerned me.
Firefox is claiming that “This website is not providing identity information’. I switched to IE just to be safe. IE does validate the security certificates during the login process.
Firefox is not even displaying the ‘Y!’ icon in the URL box.
Is it my.yahoo.com?
I use that and customize it every month. Right now I have a Halloween wallpaper. It is the two column format and I often change the content. Mail is always on my main page at the top.
Easy to change...use the options button.
Not sure that’s what you are refering to though.
The only “new” I see referenced is from 2008. What is “new”?
More porn....

NO. main yahoo page www.yahoo.com
As one person suggeested, make the mail sign-in page the home page, and all the other stuff can be avoided. I used to have the bookmarks page as my home page because it received the least traffic and was therefore fast to get to.
I don’t like the astrology thing, but maybe that can be blocked.
Thanks for the heads up.
