The middle class is screwed. Face it, the American people don't want to have to decide things for themselves anymore, they want "big daddy" government to take care of everything for them. Yeah, so did the Romans.....

There will be no economic recovery. There will be no jobs growth, and in a couple of years the sheeple still won't understand.

I believe that you are right. The ‘American Dream’ has changed.

The American Dream was probably best put before the nation at high school graduation speeches.

In the ‘50’s the speaker would challenge the graduates to start a business, employ the people in this town, and provide for yourself and this community.

In the ‘70’s the speech was about being the best you could be. Work hard: school, labor, whereever you go. The sky is the limit, it is about you succeeding. But provide for yourself.

Now the American Dream seems to be: ‘Win the lottery.’ Sit back the world revolves around you, we (the gov’t) will do all for you. It takes no effort just avail yourself of all the riches out ‘there’. Someone else will give it to you. We will provide for you.
