I’m ashamed of my country!
Vanity | 7 November 2012 | areukiddingme1

For the first time in my adult life I am ashamed of my country – Last night on display for the entire world to see, half of the nation elected the “king of the takers.”

Makers, be on notice!

So what does this mean going forward for America? No one can argue that it does not mean; 1) Higher taxes, 2) Increased debt, 3) Attacks on the 2nd amendment and 4) Weaker US power projection around the world.

The grown-ups simply didn’t outnumber the children last night and the children threw a temper tantrum and got their way – Let’s see how bad it is when it is time for them to pay taxes.

For those of us still alive in 20 years, we must remind these spoiled children that they voted for “redistribution of wealth” and when they are only seeing 50% of their take home pay, they will only have themselves to blame.

I am so thoroughly disgusted with this country this morning.

“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” ~ Unknown

“A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

How is the GOP reaching out to Democratic voters and these voters who have given up? It’s not. Be ashamed of the GOP but not our country. The GOP gave up on a changing America, settling instead on a stale repeat of a tired old platform. I’m proud of my country. Proud that it changing, that a new generation and demographic is rising up and being heard. I just wish my party would listen, because I don’t like giving it all to the Dems.

You are a troll. I suppose you think we should try to compete with the demonrats to see who can promise the most free sh*t? So our party can 'win'?

This war is just starting.

Bitsy, that is a scary summary of the election — But so true!

Only 1461 days to fix the problem.

That article is correct if and only if Obama is not what I fear he could be, what I've been calling the "Islamic Candidate."

Look at his total support of the Muslim Brotherhood as well as his (and Hillary's) commitment to destruction of our 2nd Amendment -- and for that matter, all of the Bill of Rights -- to disarm us.

That Amendment was based on the Swiss model, ensuring our ability to contribute heavily toward the defense of this country. But what will happen once the Muslim Brotherhood has the entire Middle East united in their utmost goal of a world-wide Islamic caliphate?

Someone please tell me I'm wrong.

Hold on to that attitude and I will try to do so as well. Like Betty Davis said it is going to be a bumpy ride.

I am sorry you had to crush your sons dream. thats a hard thing to have to do. but you did the right thing. My son voted for the first time this year. his vote didn’t count. Everything I’v taught my children is now wrong. work hard, pay your own way, be responsible...all that is going to do now is beat him down his whole life and make him bitter

“For the first time in my adult life I am ashamed of my country” Last night 50.3% of American voted to turn their backs on the unemployed and underemployed. Last night 50.3% of Americans voted to bury their own children and grandchildren in debt. The selfish ‘Me Generation’ won last night.

A decent, educated, capable, moral man was defeated by buffoons last night and we ALL will have to suffer for their stupidity.

Absolutely right.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Translated into English from an article appearing in the Czech Republic as published in the Prager Zeitung of 28 April 2010

Pretty much sums it up...:-( “

Worth repeating...

Oh, I probably haven’t crushed his dream, because he was brought up with the principles of the guys that defended our ambassador in Libya.

He is a patriot.

His country left him. That is what I am trying to impress on him today. Don’t waste your life for 0bama. Our armed forces are like gum on his shoe - a nuisance.

My sister, who was too busy to email the past 4 days due to working for 0bama’s re-election in IA, sent her chipper “good morning” message today. We generally email most every day.

I could not even answer. I just deleted it. I don’t know whether I’ll be able to come around.

“Go Tribe”?

I should want to belong to a party that panders to the shifting “tribes” that inhabit the land, rather than the self-evident truths on which this nation was founded?

The “new generation and demographic” are not interested in the principles on which this country was founded. We were a nation founded on such principles, and our freedoms and strength derived from them.

The motley collection of tribes will never even know what they’ve lost. I’m old enough and wise enough know what we’ve lost, and why. I’m proud and fortunate to have been a part of its greatness, even in the twilite of its history. I lived in the shining city on the hill. It’s now been overrun by barbarians, who - not understanding its true value - are tearing it down for mere loot and plunder. It will never come again.

Family. Boy.

My aunt and her dying of cancer husband are libs. I don’t know if my mom will want to talk to her now.

My lovely cousin, is tweeting PROBAMA bullshite.

What can you do? Some people don’t get it. That’s what happens when the other side controls the media and the schools. And when good men marry liberal women and let them raise the kids. My tweeting cousin’s pa is our side. His wife is not.

Don’t let them take your family. Just agree not to discuss politics.

And if you have kids, you gotta TCOB and make SURE they know what is up. If they say something liberal, spank them hard. And I say that as someone who is strongly against spanking.

I don’t know why I found that statement funny, but I had to laugh at this. It’s true that we really need to work hard to teach our children conservative values (or, how else will they carry these forward?). If I wasn’t laughing at your statement, I’d definitely be crying.

My biggest disappointment today is that Romney would have been a good president. Far better than what we have. Imminently qualified, decent and smart economically.

My other huge disappointment is the full realization of what the majority of voters in this country think and want.
