We knew for months that Clinton would get re-elected. I think they called the race for him like at 7:30 in the evening.

Yeah, I thought maybe we'd pull out a miracle in 1996, but the fact is, the economy was doing pretty well at the time, and Lewinsky hadn't happened yet. Additionally, the internet existed, but it wasn't the dynamo it is now. Heck FR didn't come into existence until a year later.

It was disappointing, but NOTHING compared to last night.
