No I'm not kidding. No, I'm definitely not naive.

Would they go down without what they think of as a fight? Of course not. Would their fight be powerful enough to rise to the level of non-peace? Of course not. Your're being naive :-) Their power consists of stage hypnosis, language and stories.

They throw paper cups, and their voters catch them. Ooh, I'm scared.

There would never be a greater mismatch in the history of man.

When in college in Nebraska 50+ years ago, when asked what was so good about Texas (my home state), I used to reply: “You name it, we’ve got it; if we don’t have it, we don’t want it; if we decide we want it, we’ll buy it.”

At my class’s 50th reunion last spring, a number of classmates from the past approvingly remembered my commentary from a half-century earlier. Texas is a state of mind ... which many people world-wide share.
