Let's face facts. Democrats gained in the House of Representatives, the Senate and the chief Democrat in charge was re-elected after one of the worst four year periods in American history, economically and constitutionally. How does that happen? Republicans/Conservatives (which are not necessarily interchangeable terms — but, we’ll lump them together for the sake of this column) gave voters credit for being smart while Democrats assumed they’re not. Let's break down what Obama, Pelosi, Reid, the Obama SuperPACs, et all were saying for a year and a half:

Hate to say it, but the RNC or some PACs should have been running ads featuring Obama as a radical as much as possible. The idea that ‘he's a nice guy with the wrong ideas’ doesn't work. What worked most to the benefit of the right in this election cycle was the damage the first debate, and Obama’s responses to it did to his image as ‘a nice guy’. If the other side is going to try to throw mud on you - which is precisely their strategy every time - then you have to pull them down into the mud and hold them there until they drown in it.

We didn't use Clinton's Monica issue against him, we didn't use 911 to our advantage, we are always ‘convinced by the left and so called moderates within our own ranks that we should ‘play nice’. That no longer works. Play hard, play aggressive, put all resources and weapons on the table, and play to win.

During the campaign I thought that Romney was preaching business too much and individuals not enough.

When Hilliary-care was being pushed, the right didn’t go after the effect on businesses, they went after the effect on a single family.

Also, for obvious reasons, he didn’t educate people on what was coming with Obamacare. That was our issue to lose and we lost it. Not that I’m giving up the fight but for the election, he made it a neutral issue.

Well, Romney is a liar.

As for the 47%, he did say:

There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax….

The War On Women charge is completely false, but Romney boosted this perception by saying he’d like to see RVW overturned and said he’d like to see a constitutional amendment banning abortion. This fueled that fire, the single-issue dems could point to Romney’s words as proof that he wanted to see RVW overturned and see a constitutional amendment. I know, these are the single-issue voters that will overlook allegations that a candidate is a serial rapist, as long as that candidate says the correct things about abortion.

False or not, the dems successfully implemented their disinformation campaign with, naturally, the help of the State Owned Media (with Steffi kicking off the War on Women).

Ads. Strategy.

It’s numbers. They are breeding and multiplying. Illegals are brought in to further dilute conservative votes.

It’s over. Decline is here. Will only get worse.

Once the checks don’t show up and the EBTs won’t swipe, we’ll have riots that make the Greek ones look like a picnic.

The American century is over, ended by cultural suicide.

“The American century is over, ended by cultural suicide.”

Is it worth fighting for? If so, how hard of a fight are we willing to put up?

The 47% is real. I don't know how we can fight it, I'm not sure we can. Our 200 years is over. 200 years is how long a democracy can last.

Jefferson said a little revolution now and then is a good thing, it is time.

The conventional wisdom is you fight fire with fire except when trying to get the independent vote. Somehow we act as though the independents will get mad if you say something harsh about the Democrats or the president. I don't believe that the independents are so fickle. They listen to the harsh garbage that the Democrats spew and still vote for Democrats.

I think that if Mitt Romney would have had the brains of Newt Gingrich he could have won. Newt says it like it is. We need that. Politicians, for the most part don't tell it like it is, they tell it like they want you to believe it is, they lie. Romney tried to win without the lies and failed. Romney tried to win without harshness and failed.

You gotta call a spade a spade. In bridge you can call a Diamond a spade but you still lose the trick. We lost.

It is absolutely absurd that one person should be forced to pay for anther's cell phone. We do this kind of nonsense all day long everyday.

It is absolutely absurd that we bailed out a mismanaged portion of the auto industry and then GAVE half of the stolen spoils to the crooked union who gave millions of dollars to the party that did it. There were no protests of this action. It is unbelievable that we did this. If anyone would have suggest that this would happen even 10 years ago they would have been laughed at.

Right is called wrong and wrong right. It has happened.

For most of the existence of mankind homosexuality has been a crime. Since the earliest of Biblical times homosexuality has been a crime, a crime punishable by death. Obama and Hillary Clinton have both had homosexual relationships. Is it any wonder then why they support “Queer” marriage.

Men die because a government wants guns to look bad and floods the border with them. Men die in Benghazi because a government wants to steal guns from one country and give them to another in support of the annihilation of Israel. Good men stand by and watch it happen.

The 47% are not necessarily people who get a check from the government, but the people who believe it is right to take from one person who works and give to another who doesn't.

Income redistribution is evil. Aside from being evil income redistribution, Socialism, doesn't work.

I am a veteran. I was willing and ready to die for my country. I gave it four years of my life. After last weeks election I'm afraid I no longer believe it is worth dying for.

Evil, has overtaken the leadership and much of the population of the country, it is time for a new country to replace the old.

I am a sad Veteran on this celebration of Veteran's Day.

The PussyMen at the RCN don't know how to fight.

Obama was target rich. Yet, these girliemen couldn't make one hard hitting truthful ad that ran consistently from February until November 6th.

The leadership of the Democrat party are a bunch of grifters. I’ve been around die hard socialists. They live in unheated apartments and wear plain clothes and have bad haircuts. For goodness sakes, Nancy Pelosi wants to be Mary Richards from the old Mary Tyler Moore Show. Look at her. She doesn’t want to put on grey coveralls and pull weeds in the collective’s cabbage patch. I don’t think Obama has ever had to clean a toilet. They’re just grifters. They try to paralyze you so they can grab your money and get away. They scare the Republicans by saying they are really bad communists. They lull the liberals to sleep telling them bedtime stories about how they’ll all live in castles and drink champagne.....provided by the Republicans. Cut off a grifter’s money and he moves on.

“The PussyMen at the RCN don't know how to fight.”

This is partially because they didn't think they had to go to a full out political war. They thought they could ‘nice’ their way into a win.

The right formula is the one that the left uses, which is simply a variation of ‘good cop=bad cop’. They have all their behind the scenes dirtbags trolling for something they can use. If they don't find it they just make it up, and their buds in the media go tabloid with them and help them with that. In the meantime, they insulate their candidate from the dirt, and let them appear above it.

You can't combat that with a smile and a ‘there you go again’ anymore. The politics of personal destruction have advanced since Reagan, and any honor the press had is gone. We are in an all out political war for the future of the country.

If the RNC and conservatives are going to successfully try to recruit Hispanics into the tent, then they need to do it in an aggressive way that smashes political correctness in the teeth.

I think the message to Hispanics should be along the lines of: “Look at Mexico and ask yourself why Mexicans have to come to America for jobs. Is it because America suppressed Mexico, or is it because of political and institutional corruption in a country - Mexico - that has very bright and industrious people and lots of natural resources yet continues to struggle as a third world nation? Do you want to recreate the kinds of bureaucracy and corruption here that has held back much of Latin America, and even once great countries in Europe? Do you want to empower politicians or preserve your own opportunities to make your own way? Wasn't it the possibility of making your own way and not having to depend on handouts from corrupt politicians and bureaucrats that brought you to America? Wasn't it the hope that your children could make their own way without dependency that brought you here? Well, just look at what has happened to those groups that have given their unconditional allegiance to the Democrats, They live in poverty. Their children die in gang warfare. The local bureaucrat who demands you grease his palm is now represented by fat cat union bosses who live high while industrial jobs leave for other shores. Isn't this what you wanted to get away from? “

etc.

The Bipartisan Oligarchy has really, deliberately disenfranchised THE TAXPAYING portion of the electorate....there really is no obligation to continue to pay taxes as our claim to representation has been revoked by them.

“Direct” disenfranchisement refers to actions that explicitly prevent people from voting or having their votes counted, as opposed to “indirect” techniques, which attempt to prevent people’s votes from having an impact on political outcomes (e.g., gerrymandering, ballot box stuffing, stripping elected officials of their powers).

http://www.umich.edu/~lawrace/disenfranchise1.htm

The issue of taxation without recourse to representation is of course the basis of the Revolutionary War.

Only We the People can fix this. It is difficult for those of us growing up in the USA to believe we have been dealt out of government. But Barack Obama has been the best thing for DC since FDR..and nobody -Republican or Democrat -there will let him go that easy.

The American people don't know much about economics--the average person probably thinks FDR did more good than harm with his New Deal policies (and he managed to get a landslide win in 1936 despite the continuing Great Depression).

Since the economic scare just before the election in 2008, the Democrats have relentlessly preached the message that all of our economic woes are the result of the policies of the George W. Bush administration, while the Republicans have made no effort to counteract that message. The result was that 53% of the public thinks that Bush is more to blame than Obama for the current economic stagnation.
