When Patrick J. Buchanan stood before the Republican National Convention some years ago, and declared that there was a cultural war in this country, how did you regard his remarks? (Aside: many Republicans and even conservatives then mocked him as a nut, as do many of this forum still do, today)

I posted that entire speech on this forum several times challenging several bed wetters to tell me what was so damn wrong with it.

No one could. They were just afraid of the rhetoric.

Reminds me of when Dan Quayle went after the show Murphy Brown....and then years later, Candace Bergen basically admitted that he was right.
