I imagine someday soon we’ll see an EMP that shuts down major portions Iran and Syria.

With Syrian air defense and communication blind, deaf, and dumb, Israel will have a clear path to similarly disabled Iran and key nuclear facilities.

Too bad U.S. Naval forces remaining in the area will be similarly disabled.

So, if you see the U.S. Navy seeming to slink away, you might conclude they’ve been forewarned and decided not to be collateral damage.

I don’t believe there is an EMP weapon. The only way we know is to set off a nuke.

I also believe our ships have hardened systems, thus redering an EMP ineffective.

That is right. Syrians too busy fighting opposition. Iraqis have no real air force. Israel can give middle finger to both and use air space to go after Iranians. Question; will Russians move to stop them?

I’m pretty sure that EMP hardening will protect our naval assets. The sailors may lose their cell phones.

Aren't our ships electronics shielded from EMP?
