That sounds like the same kind of slide my friend went on.
I looked at her public records this afternoon, and it seems she’s only had minor car-related problems the last 2 years (no registration on her car, twice, and no insurance). I hope she is off drugs and has a job and is OK.
I have friends, going back 50 years - some more, some less - who I know voted for Obama, but I’m not about to wreck the relationships over politics. There are other things to discuss, lots of history in common. I don’t understand how they vote, they don’t understand how I vote, so we just don’t discuss it.
They lead lives at least as conservative as mind. And, unlike elected Dems, actually DO good work with the underprivileged.
Others I know who did vote for Obama and are shallow, believe in the ‘war on women,’ etc. I have parted ways with amidst no regret. I think it comes down to the relationship(s) themselves and the value you place on each.
Excellent question, short answer, Yes.
For the long answer recalling the complete context as follows: "Economically speaking, there are only two types of people: Producers and Non Producers. ALL government employees are, by definition, Non Producers, people who have never produced a whit of the products or services necessary to sustain an ethical society or civilization." Economically speaking, government employees are Non Producers including Navy or military employment. This includes myself during my service in the US Navy, so the long answer is also Yes.
Government employed military may protect a society/culture/nation, but they cannot sustain it.
Judging by your question, you already know that I am not talking about the work output of some individual government employees, nor do I deny that some government employees do good works in their employment. These specific individuals would be Producers, IF they were in private employment.
