My Christmas came early this year.
Yesterday my wife bought me something I’ve wanted for years.
A 10/22 with Mannlicher stock. Stainless and well checkered walnut stock.
Added a 4x32 scope. I’m in love.

Ah, Catalina.

Haven't been there for years.

I think of all the things I miss about California, the ocean is on the top of the list.

Restaurants would be next, and of course the way it was 30 years ago ;(

I read somewhere that the MVP doesn’t work well with Magpul mags — supposedly, did not properly seat them. Standard GI mags seemed to work well. I don’t know about Thermold polymer mags. I know of them, but all I have ever used were GI and Magpul mags in my ARs. I think it’s a very good design to use cheap, standard AR mags. All manufactures would be wise to follow suit.

It would probably be a good first rifle for a youngster

This would probably be a better first rifle for a youngster:

Savage Rascal

Caliber: 22 LR
Handed: Right
Rate of Twist: 16
Weight: 2.66 lbs
Overall Length: 31.5"
Barrel Length: 16.125"
Ammo Capacity: 1

Too bad they didn’t put a 1:8 barrel on that thing so it could shoot 77gr SMK.

This is the time to be buying semi-auto guns, and many of them, not bolt action guns.

Nice gun, but this will be available any time.
