I thoroughly enjoyed the film (except the creepy bit where Bond meets Silva.) But then I got to see a prescreening followed by a Q&A with Barbara Brocolli, Michael Wilson, Sam Mendes, Daniel Craig, and Javier Bardem.

The ending reminded me of some of the later Roger Moore Bond films where he was trying to prove that he was still young enough to handle the role so there was a lot more hand-to-hand combat, running around, etc.

At the Q&A Daniel Craig made it clear that despite what happened to all of the other characters he definitely wanted to remain as James Bond.

That creeped me out as well. Though I think it was supposed to be an example of Bond and the villain trying to psych each other out.

That sounds fun.

That worked for Sir Rog in MR, FYEO and OP. But with AVTAK, he went one time too many IMHO.
