I am a big fan of the 50s and 60s Waylon more so than his later stuff. I stop by the cemetery twice a year to pay my respects on my way to the races at PIR. Waylon was the man. One of the common people.
I never cared for the song ‘McAurthur Park’ until I heard Waylon sing it ... !
Had no idea he did a cover...I’m on an mission to find it!

His rendition of that was absolutely incredible. I used to have it on vinyl along with a lot of other albums of his. I miss my vinyl collection had a lot of stuff by him, Charley Pride, Merle Haggard (before he was a lefty), Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, ect. I love the classics. :)
