OMAHA, Neb.
Omaha police were called early Friday to reports of a shooting at Westroads Mall where nine people were killed five years ago.
Officers were sent to the mall after people inside called 911 to report gunfire around 1 a.m. Friday. Authorities said they received six calls from people at Westroads, most of which reported shots had been fired.
Witnesses told KETV NewsWatch 7 the incident happened near Younkers on the west side of the mall.
Officer James Shade confirms a fight did happen at the mall Friday, but no shots were fired. Shade said customers heard the sounds of trash cans being knocked over.
Police said no one was injured, but Darell Richards, 22, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
