The Hill: Jeb Bush Considering 2016 Run (stay out of da Bushes alert!)

The Hill is reporting that supporters of Jeb Bush are claiming he’s already considering a presidential run.

Jeb Bush, brother and son of former Bush presidents, is said to be mulling a presidential run in 2016, according to the New York Times.

The Times cites Bush supporters and friends in its report that the former Florida governor is “weighing financial and family considerations” for a future run.

Though Bush remains popular in Florida and has garnered national attention with his support for immigration and education reform, there is lingering concern that the persistent unpopularity of the last Bush to hold the White House, his brother President George W. Bush, could hinder his bid.

He, like his brother, stood by and let Terry Schivo die. No thanks.

Voters won't be thinking of Terri Schiavo in 2016.

Don’t leave out the part about HW sitting in the floorboard of the SR-71, for that secret meeting.

I didn’t even know that the SR-71 was similar to my 1959 Buick , in that regard, but evidently it has space to spare if the passenger is motivated enough to scrunch up for a transatlantic flight.

This one will and so will millions of other because the opposing party will bring it up. Jeb is a puke and so is his brother Neil. The old lady is as bad as it gets too. She has made a fortune as have the rest of the Bush family off the taxpayer. If not for the government from Prescott to "W" making a mint off the Texas Rangers the Bush family would be all working at McDonalds.

He probably flew the SR-71 himself. Probably not much difference between WW2 bombers and the SR-71 anyway.

The liberals probably should be worried about Jeb Bush, because he was an excellent governor of Florida and left the state in great shape when he departed. He’s an engaging person and a good speaker and very conservative, and he had a lot of appeal to everyone of any ethnic group.

I read an interesting interview with James Carville in the latest edition of Rolling Stone. He might be the enemy but he's no idiot. He articulated that come 2016, it'll be the Democrats who "fall in line" with whatever candidate the party offers. Republicans will only need to field a candidate who's electable in a general election. Doesn't have to be the most conservative guy on the block. Simply "electable" will fit the bill. Jeb Bush was the guy Carville was thinking about.

Come 2016, the only people who care about Terri Schiavo will be the circular firing squad here on Free Republic, while we pontificate upon how such two bit losers like Santorum, Gingrich, West, Bachman, Cain, Hunter, Tancredo, Akin, Mourdock, etc. would be worthwhile Presidential candidates.

Let him run.

He will undoubtedly go on to a crushing defeat and the party will finally be rid of the Bushes forever.
