That one’s my fave invention disasters.

Smell-o-Vision-—and its putrid cousin-—Aromaroma——collossal cinematic flops that attempted spraying theatres w/ scents coordinated w/ movie scenes.

Smellovision was the brainchild of Mike Todd Jr-—one of Liz Taylor’s deceased husbands.

The promoters never factored in life-threatening allergies and the staying power of fragrances.

Some theatre goers fainted and some fled w/ eyes streaming and bronchial passages impaired.

The entire theater had to be recarpeted and reupholstered to rid the deathly smells that had built up after a week’s worth of Aromarama spraying “new-mown hay, trapped tiger,
jungle gardenia, and orange peel.”
